sniff sniff....sorry to see you going...

Hey Kath, that really is scary, but hey, you did what you needed to do here and I am sure that you have some great memories to take with you. Are well all going to get together again! I think that it would be a good idea...
You're the organiser.....how about seeing who's interested?
What do you think?
Does anyone know the answer to this question?
Okay, lets work in pairs and see who can come up with the correct answer?
I'll give you ten minutes and then we can discuss it together to see what you've come up with...
Start now!
You have 10 minutes...(Oooops, too much TTT...)
Dear QE,

AIR HAIR LAIR! (I heard that this was a common Brittish greeting if said quidkly)

Its Monday here in NZ (you remember New Zealand....one of your former colonies), and we are celebrating your birthday today, so I along with many others, salute you for having not one but 2 birthdays. (After all, April is taken by Easter so it would have been a bit cramped and toffee nosed of you if we celebrated your actual birthday back then as well.)

You may ask, how do we celebrate you birthday?....do we throw you a party....NO....do we send you a card....HARDLY.....do we raise a glass in your honour....GET REAL! (do you give up?)...by not working of course!

Anyway, just wanted to say thanks for giving me an extra day to plan my next week's classes.

So Cherrio Old Girl, and do say hello to Camilla for me....

Your distant celebrant,

Stuvis

PS My bank account details are in the email to follow should you decided to deposit a belated birthday gift for me.....however should you so desire to just send me a cheque,  you need only just add the '1' on the line and I will take care of the zeros...)

Moving Company is booked!

EEK!

I booked Seven Seas today and will have several large boxes delivered to my door at 8am tomorrow into which I'm going to have to pack up my life - books, clothes, CDs, knick-knacks and other useless crap that we all accumulate as we go through life. I just seem to accumulate more of it that others... I'm such a hoarder. I still have my exercise books from when I was at school in England! Hopeless.

Still waiting for a visa to appear but to be fair I only applied a week and a bit ago so not so worried yet. Thank God for the mother in law - she basically did all the talking and filled in all the forms in Chinese.

How's everyone else going along? :)

Jamie Davies

Hey guys i think this is how to make a post but we'll see.
Anyhoo Doreen offered me a job for 10 weeks starting Monday teaching beginners so im really happy about that, i get to teach the alphabet so thats exiting.

Well done Stuvis on your job ad best of luck to you.

Hope everyone is well.

First week post Celta...

I woke up on Monday morning feeling a little strange. I had nowhere to be. No urgent assignment to be done, no lesson to plan. Something felt... weird... I had a niggling in the back of my mind that I couldn't quite place.

Then it hit me. This move I've been talking about for years (well, three) is finally happening. We're down the business - visas, moving company quotes (any recommendations?! I have one quote so far for 300 buck a box!!!) and tickets. I have to book my ticket to leave and finally name the date when I will have to do this uprooting to another country thing and something is holding me back. Fear of the unknown, fear of failure, fear of regret. I want to do it and I don't. I'm excited and I'm terrified.

Feel the fear and do it anyway??? Well I paid 200 bucks for visas and marriage cert verification today so I guess I'm on my way.

How's everyone else finding it in the post-CELTA world?
